St. Mary Bredin is committed to showing the love of Jesus in issues of social justice and being a blessing to our local community. We do this partly through three ministries which we call our Mercy Ministries.
Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking
Stop the Traffik Kent (STT Kent) is part of a global network of STOP THE TRAFFIK community groups all focused on a shared vision of raising awareness of modern day slavery and human trafficking in their local communities. Contact: Dr.Cheryl Mvula
Make Lunch
Free school meals make a huge difference to over one and half million children in the UK but when schools are closed so are the kitchens. MakeLunch is a network of churches working to fill the holiday hunger gap. Contact: Mim Taylor
Christians Against Poverty
Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is passionate about lifting the weight of debt and helping people find work. They work with the local church to bring good news, hope and freedom to people in the UK. SMB is a debt centre and has its own debt centre manager Tony Washington.
